LIVE: 37 Years Ago — Jethro Tull @ Hampton Roads Coliseum (Virginia)

“A Passion Play”

If you were there, you’d remember (maybe). If you weren’t, you missed one of the all-time concerts of the last 100 years.

We were there — me, my friends of 1973, along with as much 3,4,5-trimethoxyphenethylamine we could ingest, lungs topped off with Cannabis, and as much tequila and beer as we could slip by the security guards.

From the thumping unfolding ballerina to open until the “phone call” at the end, Tull provide the Hampton Roads Coliseum crowd a memory of a life time.

The return trip home to Ocean View, via the Hampton Roads Tunnel, was a trip in itself.

The next time you answer a ringing phone, just simply say, “It’s for you…”

Drink one for us (the gang of 1973),
